Introduction
Yu Zusheng was born in 1961 in the United States. Although he attended a Chinese school, he received Western education from a young age. After graduating from high school in 1978, he followed his parents’ advice and enrolled at the University of California to study natural sciences. In his first year of university, his mother, Jiang Xiaozhang, gifted him a diary, with the first page inscribed with a poem: "If you seek a life free of worries and cares, I urge you to grasp the present sincerely..." After four years of study, Yu Zusheng obtained a Ph.D. in physics from the University of California, Berkeley. After graduation, he worked at an astronomical institute in the United States.
