Introduction
Yu Yanghe, whose family name is Yu and given name is Qide, was born in Shaoxing, Zhejiang. His father was Yu Dawi, and among his family members was Chiang Ching-kuo's son-in-law. During the Second Sino-Japanese War, he graduated from the Air Force College and subsequently received training at the Luke Army Air Forces Flying School in the United States. In 1943, he returned to China and served in the 5th Squadron of the Sino-US Air Force Mixed Group, stationed at Zhijiang Air Force Base in Hunan. During his service, he participated in over thirty aerial battles. He was injured after being shot down and forced to jump from his aircraft, which ended his military career. Afterwards, he went to the United States to study engineering and gradually settled there. Throughout his professional career, he served as a technical advisor for "China Airlines" and "China Shipbuilding Corporation".
