Richard Cranch

Richard Cranch was born in 1726 and died in 1811. He was married to Mary Smith, the daughter of William Smith. Mary Smith was the sister of Abigail Adams, who served as First Lady of the United States from 1797 to 1801 and was the mother of John Quincy Adams, the U.S. President from 1825 to 1829. William Smith was the father of Abigail Adams.
