Elizabeth Cranch

Elizabeth Cranch, a diarist who lived from 1743 to 1811, was the daughter of Mary Smith and the granddaughter of Elizabeth Quincy. She was the niece of Abigail Adams, who served as First Lady of the United States from 1797 to 1801, and the sister of Mary Smith, the mother of Abigail Adams. Elizabeth Quincy, her grandmother, was the mother of Abigail Adams and lived from 1721 to 1775. John Quincy Adams, the son of Abigail Adams, served as President of the United States from 1825 to 1829.
