Introduction
Arinori Wakatsuki (born March 13, 1897, in Koishikawa, Tokyo City [now Bunkyō Ward]) was a Japanese businessman who died on August 19, 1971. He worked at the Bank of Japan, holding positions such as Director of the Securities Bureau. He was also the eldest son of Japanese politicians Reiichirō Wakatsuki and Tokuko Wakatsuki.
Career
Arinori Wakatsuki graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Tokyo Imperial University in 1921 and subsequently joined the Bank of Japan. His career included roles such as inspector, branch manager of Shizuoka, branch manager of Matsue, and Director of the Securities Bureau. In 1945 (Showa 20), he became chairman of Rikyu Fermentation Industries, and in 1947 (Showa 22), he became a full-time auditor of the same company. Rikyu Fermentation Industries was dissolved following its merger with Kyowa Fermentation Industries, leading to his resignation. Afterwards, he assumed the position of president at Cellophane Sales Shinposha. His death occurred in 1971 (Showa 46).
Personality
Arinori Wakatsuki enjoyed literature as a hobby. He was a devout follower of True Pure Land Buddhism.
Family and Relatives
His wife was Mine, who was from Akita Prefecture and the third daughter of Kiyosuke Kodama. They had two children: a eldest son, Hiroyoshi, and a second son, Nobunari.
