Christopher Nixon Cox, born on March 14, 1979, at Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City, is an American lawyer and business executive. He is the son of Tricia Nixon Cox and Edward F. Cox, and the grandson of President Richard Nixon and First Lady Pat Nixon.
Cox completed his undergraduate education at Princeton University, earning an A.B. in politics with magna cum laude honors. He subsequently obtained a Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law and a certificate in finance from the NYU Stern School of Business.
In his professional career, Cox serves as the chief executive officer of Lightswitch Capital, a private equity fund that invests in biotechnology companies. He holds positions on the boards of various private companies, including Alto Neuroscience. Additionally, Cox is involved in several organizations: he serves on the board of trustees of the American University of Afghanistan and the Command and General Staff College Foundation. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Nixon Foundation and participates in The Nixon Seminar on Conservative Realism and National Security, which is co-chaired by Secretary Michael R. Pompeo and Ambassador Robert C. O'Brien.
Cox is a non-resident fellow at the Liechtenstein Institute on Self-Determination at Princeton University. His media presence includes frequent guest appearances on national and international news programs, such as Fox News, Newsmax TV, Bloomberg TV, CNBC, ABC News, CNN, BBC, and NBC. Earlier in his career, Cox served as an associate in the corporate private equity group at Weil, Gotshal & Manges in New York. In his personal life, Cox married Andrea Catsimatidis, daughter of billionaire John Catsimatidis, on June 4, 2011, at the Greek Orthodox Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New York City. The couple filed for divorce in December 2014.
