Liu Aiqin, born in 1927 in Hankou, Hubei Province, is the eldest daughter of Liu Shaoqi. She was raised by a worker’s family in her childhood and曾 served as a child bride. In 1938, she was brought to Yan'an by the Party organization to reunite with her father. In 1939, she followed her brother Liu Yunbin to the Soviet Union for studies, and in 1940, she entered a ten-year school in the Soviet Union. She joined the Chinese Communist Party in 1966. During the Cultural Revolution, her father Liu Shaoqi was persecuted to death, and her brother was accused of being a spy. Liu Aiqin was expelled from the Party and her public office, and was sent to labor in rural areas. Her husband forced her to divorce, but she was exonerated in 1979.

Afterward, she served as an Russian language teacher and associate professor at Hebei Normal University and the Chinese People's Police University. She received honors such as the "March 8 Red Banner" and the first-class Golden Shield Medal of the People’s Police. In 1995, she was awarded the "Steel Warrior" certificate by Yeltsin, and in 2015, she received the commemorative medal for the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War.

Liu Aiqin made notable contributions to Russian language education and Soviet economic studies. She has a friendly personality, is well-loved by colleagues and students, and is praised as "the oldest sister."
