Introduction
King Hui of Zhu Jianpei (March 2, 1462 – June 13, 1505) was the ninth illegitimate son of the Ming Dynasty Emperor Ming Yingzong Zhu Qizhizun. His mother was Consort Wei, of the Gongduan Zhuanghuide noble rank. In the second year of Chenghua (1466), he was granted the title of King of Hui, and in the seventeenth year of Chenghua (1481), he was stationed in Junzhou. Zhu Jianpei ruled for thirty-nine years until his death in the eighteenth year of Hongzhi (1505). His eldest son, Zhu Youtai, was posthumously titled King of Hui three years after Zhu Jianpei's death.
