Introduction
Song Ying, born in the 14th century in Dingyuan. His birth and death years are unknown, but he died in 1449. He served as a military general during the Ming Dynasty, attaining the rank of Fu Ma Du Wei (Imperial Man of the Inner Court), and was conferred the title of Western Ning Marquis, later posthumously promoted to Duke of Yunguo. During the Yongle reign, he married Princess Xianning and served as Fu Ma Du Wei. After his father's death, he inherited the title of Western Ning Marquis. During the Zhengzheng period, he was appointed to the Office of Commander of the Left Military. During the Wala Yashan invasion, he served as the commanding officer, leading the army in response, and ultimately died in the Yanghe Battle. Zhu Jue, Shi Heng, and others also died in battle. He was posthumously awarded the title of Duke of Yunguo with the posthumous name Zhong Shun (Loyal and Obedient). He and Princess Xianning's son, Song Jie, jointly inherited the title of Western Ning Marquis.
