Introduction
is the husband of and is connected to a lineage of Japanese court nobles, including Takatsukasa Masamichi, Takatsukasa Sukehiro, Tokudaiji Kin'ito, and Saionji Kinmochi. Takatsukasa Masamichi (1789–1868) was a kugyō or Japanese court noble during the late Edo period. Takatsukasa Sukehiro (1807–1878) was his son, and Tokudaiji Kin'ito (1821–1883) was the son of Sukehiro. Saionji Kinmochi (1849–1940) was his descendant, being the son of Tokudaiji Kin'ito.
