Charles Geoffrey Stanley

Charles Geoffrey Stanley, who lived from 1839 to 1877, was the son of politician Henry Stanley. Henry Stanley was the son of Edward Smith-Stanley, the 13th Earl of Derby, and the grandson of Edward Smith-Stanley, the 14th Earl of Derby. The 13th Earl of Derby, who held the title from 1775 to 1851, and his son, the 14th Earl, who held the title from 1799 to 1869, were both notable British politicians.
