Wu Chen-jun was born in Taiwan, China. There is limited public information available regarding her date of birth and family background. Her father was a swimming coach; she began learning to swim at eight months old and, by the time she was in first grade, she swam 300 meters every day after school. In July 2014, Wu Chen-jun gave birth to a healthy daughter named Mia via cesarean section due to breech presentation. On June 3, 2019, she shared the news of her second child's birth on Weibo.
