Abner Rawson

Abner Rawson, who lived from 1721 to 1794, was the progenitor of a notable political and diplomatic lineage in the United States. He was the father of Rhoda Rawson, born in 1749 and deceased in 1827. Rhoda Rawson was the mother of Peter Rawson Taft, who served as an American politician from 1785 to 1867. Peter Rawson Taft was the father of Alphonso Taft, an American diplomat who lived from 1810 to 1891. Alphonso Taft was the father of William Howard Taft, who served as President of the United States from 1909 to 1913.
