Introduction
Consort Wang Rong, whose birth and death years are unknown, is believed to have lived during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. She was one of the concubines of Emperor Shenzong Wanli, the ruling emperor of the Ming Dynasty, and was the daughter of Commander Wang Wenjin. In 1582, the tenth year of Wanli, she was selected to enter the palace and was initially granted the title of Anpin (Peaceful Consort). By June of the twelfth year of Wanli, she gave birth to the third imperial daughter, Princess Jingle Zhu Xuan Gui, and was promoted to Rong Fei (Honored Consort). The following year, Princess Jingle died prematurely. In 1591, the nineteenth year of Wanli, Consort Wang Rong passed away at the age of approximately 20, and was posthumously titled Duan Jing.
