Introduction
Princess Jingle (July 8, 1584 – November 12, 1585), whose given name was Zhu Xuan Gui, was a princess of the Ming Dynasty. She was the third daughter of Emperor Shenzong of Ming, her mother being Noble Consort Wang Rong. The princess was born on the first day of the sixth month of the twelfth year of the Wanli Emperor's reign and died in the leap ninth month of the thirteenth year of Wanli, at the age of just over one year. After her death, she was posthumously conferred the title Princess Jingle and her funeral adopted the rites reserved for adults. She was buried together with Princess Xianju, Princess Yunmeng, Princess Lingqiu, and Princess Yunhe at Jinshan. Her mother, Noble Consort Wang Rong, once inscribed the Diamond Sutra of the Prajñāpāramitā in gold leaf as a prayer for the princess's blessings.
