Xi Yuce was the great-grandfather of Xi Zhongxun, one of the “Eight Immortals” of the Chinese Communist Party, and an important figure in the Xi family lineage. Descended from the renowned Jin dynasty historian Xi Zuochi, the Xi family migrated from Xin’gan in Jiangxi to Dengzhou in Henan during the Ming dynasty, where they lived for centuries. Xi Yuce was the fourth son of Xi Guoke.

He had three sons: Xi Yongsheng (also known as Xi Yongsheng/Xi Yongsheng), Xi Yongshan, and Xi Yonghou. In 1876, his son Xi Yongsheng moved the family from Yanzi Li, Dengzhou, Henan, to Nanbaozi near Dan Township, Fuping County, Shaanxi, and later, around 1882, settled permanently in Zhonghe Village (today Zhonghe Village, Dan Township, Fuping County). This migration laid the foundation for the Xi family’s establishment in Shaanxi.

Through Xi Yuce’s lineage came Xi Zongde (1885–1928), the father of Xi Zhongxun, and ultimately Xi Jinping, the current General Secretary of the CCP and President of China.
