Julia Rush Read Jones

Julia Rush Read Jones was born in 1827 and died in 1908. She was the daughter of Louise Dorsey Read and, through her maternal line, was granddaughter of Louisa Gertrude Read Pierce and Benjamin Kendrick Pierce. Her maternal great-grandfather was Benjamin Pierce, an American politician born in 1757 and deceased in 1839, who was the father of Franklin Pierce, the President of the United States from 1853 to 1857. Benjamin Kendrick Pierce, a United States Army officer born in 1790 and died in 1850, was the brother of Franklin Pierce.
