Introduction
Sun Liya was born in Sichuan Province, China. She received professional training at Sichuan Art School and was later sent to South Korea by a record company for short-term music training. Details about her early education background are not specified, but her training experience indicates a strong interest in music and a professional level of artistry.
In March 2005, Sun Liya participated in the first "Color MMS Miss" competition hosted by a local website and ranked among the top five in the national contest. In June of the same year, she competed in the "Top Ten Young Singers" contest in Shenzhen, performing Zhang Shaohan’s song "Aurora," which received positive feedback from the audience. Afterwards, in pursuit of her musical dreams, she moved to Beijing to start her professional career, but initially did not gain favor with record companies.

Concerning personal matters, on December 24, 2014, media reports stated that Qiqin was diagnosed with late-stage lung cancer. Sun Liya subsequently issued statements in interviews and on Weibo clarifying that her husband’s illness was caused by pneumonia mycoplasma and adenovirus infections, and that he has since recovered health and is currently undergoing golf training in Yunnan.
