Introduction
Wang Jin, born in 1970, is from Beijing, People's Republic of China. She is primarily known in her career as a table tennis player and experimented with various playing styles before settling on a method known as the "four-sided attack." That style has gradually fallen out of favor in the development of table tennis and is now nearly extinct. With strong ability, Wang Jin was once selected for the national youth team.
Shortly after joining the Chinese national youth team in 1992, Wang Jin became friends with teammate Liu Guoliang. In the strictly managed environment of the Chinese table tennis team, dating between athletes was prohibited, but their relationship gradually deepened. In 1995 Wang Jin left the national youth team to play professionally in Japan; although she did not make a first-tier team there, this decision helped advance her relationship with Liu Guoliang. It is noted that Liu Guoliang and Wang Jin were only 16 when they began their relationship, often remembered as a youthful romance.
After returning to China, Wang Jin studied at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and earned a bachelor's degree in economics. Liu Guoliang also studied at the same university. Later, Wang Jin served as chairman of Beijing Huaxia Guoqiu Sports Goods Co., Ltd.
On August 18, 2006, Liu Guoliang and Wang Jin held a wedding, ending a 14-year courtship. They held another wedding in Beijing in 2008. On May 6, 2010, Wang Jin gave birth in Beijing to twin daughters, named Liu Yujie and Liu Yutong.
