Introduction
Liu Yujie, born in 2008, is a Chinese female golfer. Her father is former head coach of the Chinese national table tennis team Liu Guoliang, and her mother is former Chinese women's table tennis player Wang Jin. Liu Yujie has a twin sister, Liu Yutong; the two grew up together in Beijing.
She was introduced to golf at age three and entered the Beijing Shichahai Sports School for professional training at four. By age six she had already won multiple championships in golf competitions. On September 22, 2017, she appeared in the trailer for "Remarkable Kids"; by then she had won three gold medals and achieved the best result among Chinese players at the World Junior Golf Championship.
In her career, Liu Yujie has repeatedly won championships and posted strong results in junior golf events. For example, on August 6, 2017, she finished runner-up in the Girls 7 & Under division at the U.S. Kids Golf World Championship. In April 2018, at the HSBC National Junior Golf Championship held in Zhengzhou, she won the Girls U9 division. In July of the same year she won the Girls 8 & Under division at the World Star Junior Golf Championship. She also placed at the 2018 Buick China Junior Golf Elite and the HSBC Junior Championship Finals.
Around 2019, Liu Yujie continued to win junior events, including the Girls C division title at the Zhengzhou leg of the HSBC National Junior Golf Championship. In 2021 she won the Buick National Junior Golf Elite Series Final and the Blue Bay junior event. In 2022 she performed strongly in the Volvo National Junior Challenge and the Buick China Junior Golf Masters, winning consecutively. In 2023 she maintained strong results at the FALA GOLF Junior Elite tournament and on the National Amateur Golf Tour.
On February 1, 2024, Liu Yujie shot a 70 at the Asia-Pacific Women's Amateur Championship, finishing tied for 12th. In June 2024 she took the silver medal at the Golf Wine Guangdong Women's Open. Afterwards she continued to claim titles at various levels, including the 2025 Chinese Women's Legacy team championship and the RLX Ralph Lauren Junior Elite title.
Her competition record and awards indicate sustained competitiveness in junior golf. In addition to technical training, she emphasizes mental toughness to handle the pressures of competition, demonstrating relatively mature athlete qualities.
