Elizabeth Anson is a political correspondent and manager, and is the daughter of Margaret Yorke, Countess of Hardwicke. She is connected through her family to Philip Yorke, 2nd Earl of Hardwicke, who was a British politician and historian born in 1720 and died in 1790, and to Mary Robinson, Lady Grantham, an English estate administrator and noblewoman born in 1757 and died in 1830. Mary Robinson’s son was F. J. Robinson, 1st Viscount Goderich, a British Prime Minister and politician who lived from 1782 to 1859.
