Charles Strachey

Charles Strachey is the son of John Strachey, a British politician and writer who lived from 1901 to 1963. His familial connections include Esther Murphy Strachey, his father's wife, who was an American academic, historian, and socialite. Esther was previously married to Gavin Arthur, an American astrologer and sexologist active from 1901 to 1972, and through this marriage, Charles is connected to Chester Alan Arthur II, an American sportsman and art connoisseur who lived from 1864 to 1937, and ultimately to Chester A. Arthur, who served as President of the United States from 1881 to 1885.
