Introduction
Moriharu Hosokawa (born August 10, 1882 — died August 27, 1898) was a Japanese aristocrat and the head of the Hosokawa Baronial Family. There are no records regarding his place of birth or school attended.
He was the third son of Morihisa Hosokawa, who served as the governor of Kumamoto Domain. His mother was Hiroko Nabeshima, daughter of Naomasa Nabeshima. His brothers included his half-brother Morikazu Hosokawa, Morikazu Nagaoka, and his younger brother Moritate Hosokawa.
Moriharu Hosokawa was granted the title of Baron and established the Hosokawa Baronial Family as a branch from the Hosokawa Marquessate. He was awarded the title of baron on December 3, 1896.
He died young and at the age of 16; therefore, his younger half-brother, Moritate Hosokawa, succeeded him. Moriharu Hosokawa died on August 27, 1898.
There are no available records regarding detailed family lineage, the cause of death, or the details of his funeral.
