Introduction
Li Hongxian, born in South Korea, allegedly invested in a company under the name Zhen Meili from 2014 to 2016 and took part in manipulating its stock price. Reports say he earned several billion Korean won in profits during that period. In 2017, Li Hongxian was convicted for the above economic crime and was sentenced by a court to four years in prison and fined 2.5 billion won.
In his personal life, Li Hongxian’s wife is Zhen Meili. His family also includes a stepdaughter, Li Duoyin, and a son-in-law, Lee Seung-gi. In April 2025, South Korean actor Lee Seung-gi publicly apologized to the victims over his father‑in‑law’s case and announced that he and his wife would cut ties with Li Hongxian.
