Katherine Kelso Cassatt

Katherine Kelso Cassatt was born in 1871 and died in 1905. She is the daughter of Marie Lois Buchanan Cassatt, who is the granddaughter of Edward Young Buchanan. Edward Young Buchanan is the son of James Buchanan, Sr. and the brother of the US President James Buchanan. Marie Lois Buchanan Cassatt is the niece of James Buchanan, the 15th President of the United States, as well as the niece of Stephen Foster. She is also the sister-in-law of the artist Mary Cassatt.
