He Chaoying

He Chao-ying was the eldest daughter of the gambling king Ho Hung-sen and his first wife Li Wan-hua. She studied law in the United Kingdom. Her life was marked by several blows, including her divorce in 1981 from Xiao Baicheng, the son of a prominent funeral industry tycoon, and the death of her beloved younger brother Ho Yau-kwong in a car accident. These events caused her personality to become more reclusive. He Chao-ying passed away on December 4, 2014, at the age of 67. Her daughter, Xiao Wenzheng, confirmed the news and revealed that she had been undergoing long-term treatment for nerve and vascular issues. She was once named one of the "Global Top 50 Businesswomen" by Fortune magazine. However, she also faced legal trouble in 2007 when she was charged with common assault after stepping on a young child; she was sentenced to two years of probation and paid a bail. Her family members include her father Ho Hung-sen, her mother Li Wan-hua, and her ex-husband Xiao Baicheng.
