William Julius Polk

William Julius Polk (1793–1860) was an American figure whose familial background includes notable ancestors such as William Polk, an American politician and military officer who lived from 1758 to 1834, and Samuel Polk (1765–1827), son of Ezekiel Polk, an American soldier and pioneer (1747–1824). He was the son of William Polk and a descendant of Thomas Polk, who died in 1794, establishing a lineage connected to James K. Polk, the U.S. President from 1845 to 1849.
