Introduction
George Hervey, born in 1755, was the son of Frederick Hervey, the 4th Earl of Bristol, who was also a British bishop. His maternal relation, Lady Louisa Hervey, was the daughter of Frederick Hervey, and she was married to Robert Jenkinson, the 2nd Earl of Liverpool, who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1812 to 1827.
