Elizabeth Grenville

Elizabeth Grenville was born between 1738 and 1742 and was the daughter of Richard Grenville-Temple, the 2nd Earl Temple. Her maternal lineage includes Hester Pitt, Countess of Chatham, who was the daughter of Hester Grenville, the 1st Countess Temple. Richard Grenville-Temple served as the First Lord of the Admiralty from 1711 to 1779, and Hester Grenville and Hester Pitt held noble titles within British society. William Pitt the Younger, a notable British statesman, was the son of Hester Pitt, Countess of Chatham.
