Introduction
Sir Cecil Bishopp, 5th Baronet, who died in 1725, was a British politician and the father of Sir Cecil Bishopp, 6th Baronet. His daughter, Catherine Bishopp, married Charles Jenkinson, 1st Earl of Liverpool, a prominent British politician who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1812 to 1827. Their son, Robert Jenkinson, 2nd Earl of Liverpool, inherited the title from his father.
