Jacquelin Ch'ng

Sheng Simin, born in Hong Kong, is the daughter of Zhuang Baochang, the former chairman of China Everbright Holdings. Her family’s assets are estimated to exceed 800 million Hong Kong dollars, and she resides in a hillside villa worth about 100 million HKD. She entered the modeling industry in 1998 through training courses at the Catwalk modeling agency, primarily participating in fashion shows. In 2000, she officially debuted as Sheng Simin, performing in fashion shows at major shopping malls and working as a host.

Her entertainment career started early; in July 2003, she appeared in her first romantic comedy film, *Falling in Love with Your Bed*. In the following years, she participated in several films, including the 2004 comedy *Sweet Silk* directed by Ye Nianchen and the 2005 comedy *Kung Fu Mahjong 2: The Queen Mother*, directed by Gu Dezhao, in which she played a role. In 2008, she starred as the sexy character Kiki in the Hong Kong comedy film *My Wife Is a Gambling Saint*. In 2009, she made a cameo in the costume comedy *Ming Ling Dog*, starring Barbie Hsu and Louis Koo.

By 2011, she was active in television and film. In February, she played the successful career woman Emily in the romance drama *You, We, They*. During the same period, she appeared in the comedy film *Get Rich or Die Tryin'*, directed by Wong Jing, playing the wife of street dance tutor Chen Haolan. In the following months, she appeared in several comedy films, including *Trendsetting Office*, *Divorced After Meeting*, *Priceless*, *Love Night Puke*, and the horror film *Ghost Love Stories*. Additionally, she took on various roles in topical Hong Kong films and co-starred with Leung Siu Bing in the 20th-anniversary stage production *Zhi Qing Shi Qu*.

In 2013, she made notable appearances in multiple films, such as the gangster movie *Young and Dangerous: New Order* as Pastor’s Daughter Lin Shufen, and in the Chinese New Year film *I Love HK 2013: Congrats and Prosperity*, playing Song Dali’s wife. She also actively participated in TV series and micro-films, and served as the live host for the “Hong Kong Higher Education Mechanical Robot Competition 2013”. Over the next several years, she continued to build her experience across various genres, including comedy, action, horror, and suspense.

From 2014 onward, she gradually expanded her entertainment career. Besides starring in films and TV dramas, she became a versatile figure managing multiple roles within a talent company, which includes artists such as Wang Jing’s daughter Wang Zihan and model He Zilun. Her works continue to be released across TV and film, including the 2025 web series *Yicheng Fengyun* and an unreleased Hong Kong exploration map project.

In her personal life, Sheng Simin comes from a wealthy family. After winning second place in the women’s category at the 2013 “One Foundation Charity Star Competition,” she took an interest in motorsports and participated in racing events in Zhuhai, China, earning second place. In 2022, she announced changing the character “思” (Si) in her name to “锶” (Si, the chemical element strontium). However, due to incompatible views with her ex-husband, she divorced in November 2022 and later reverted her name back to “思” to honor her late father.

She is also involved in charity and social activities, attending numerous charity dinners and fundraising events, including charity racing events at Zhuhai International Circuit. With her diverse entertainment experience and affluent background, Sheng Simin has secured a notable position in Hong Kong’s entertainment industry.
