Introduction
Shizue Izumitei (born May 1, 1846 (Kōka 3) – December 15, 1914 (Taishō 3)) was a Japanese noblewoman during the Meiji and Taishō periods. She was the lady-in-waiting to Prince Asahiko Kunikuni and the second daughter of Shun'eki Izumitei and the elder sister of Maneko Izumitei.
Her birth date was May 1, 1846 (Kōka 3), and her date of death was December 15, 1914 (Taishō 3). Her grave is located within the Kunikuni family cemetery in Kyoto Prefecture.
Regarding her family relations, her father was Shun'eki Izumitei, and her sister was Maneko Izumitei. Through her maternal line, she was the biological mother of Prince Kuniaki Kōkaku and was the great-aunt of Empress Kōjun.
