Harriet Townshend

Harriet Townshend (1773–1814) was the daughter of Thomas Townshend, 1st Viscount Sydney, and Mary Elizabeth Townshend. She was the wife of Charles Montagu-Scott, 4th Duke of Buccleuch. Her maternal lineage includes her mother Mary Elizabeth Townshend, who was the daughter of Thomas Townshend, 1st Viscount Sydney, and the wife of John Pitt, 2nd Earl of Chatham. John Pitt, 2nd Earl of Chatham, was the son of William Pitt, 1st Earl of Chatham, who served as Prime Minister of Great Britain from 1766 to 1768.
