Introduction
Taro Aso (born September 4, 1887 — died March 4, 1919) was a Japanese businessman. He was the grandfather of Taro Aso, the 92nd Prime Minister of Japan.
Taro Aso was born in Fukuoka Prefecture as the third son of Taikichi Aso. His eldest brother, Tayuemon, was in poor health, and his second brother, Tsurujuro, died young. As a result, he became the successor to the Aso family. He himself was prone to health issues since childhood and ultimately died at the young age of 31. During his lifetime, he served as a director of Aso Shoten.
Regarding his family, his grandfather was the village headman Karo, and his grandmother was Matsu, from the Nagatomi family of Fukuoka Prefecture. His father was businessman and politician Taikichi Aso. His mother was Yasu, the sixth daughter of Hanjirō Yoshikawa of Fukuoka Prefecture.
Taro Aso had several children. His eldest son was businessman and politician Taga Yoshi Aso, his second son was businessman Nori. His eldest daughter was married to Kenzaburo Noda, a professor at Kyushu Imperial University, and his second daughter was married to Etsuzaburo Horie.
His grandchildren include Taro Aso (the 92nd Prime Minister), who is the son of Taga Yoshi Aso, as well as the businessman Yasui. Additionally, Princess Shinzō, consort of Prince Kuni, was also a descendant of Taga Yoshi. His great-grandchildren include businessmen Iwao, Queen Akiko, and Princess Yoko.
