Introduction
Kazu Saburo Suga (1918 – June 28, 2010), was born in Yurihonjo Town, Akita Prefecture, Japan. He served as a town councilor. He held positions such as the president of the "Aki-no-miya Strawberry" cultivation and sales association and the president of the Yuzawa City Strawberry Cultivation and Wholesale Association. He lived in Northeast China and worked as an employee of Mantetsu (South Manchuria Railway Company). During the final stages of World War II, after the capital of Manchukuo, Tonghua City in Jilin Province, was affected, he returned to Japan following Japan’s surrender and settled in Akita Prefecture, engaging in agricultural production. Kazu Saburo Suga successfully cultivated a new strawberry variety named "Aki-no-miya Strawberry." His father is Yoshihide Suga, the President of the Liberal Democratic Party and the Prime Minister of Japan.
