Margaret Pelham, who died in 1758, was the daughter of Thomas Pelham, 1st Baron Pelham, an English politician and Baron. Her grandfather was Thomas Pelham-Holles, 1st Duke of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, who served as Prime Minister of Great Britain from 1693 to 1768.
