Introduction
Lin Zhiyu, male, was born in Hong Kong. His father is Lin Fuhua, one of the founders of Dali Group. Dali International Group Co., Ltd. was established in 1978 and went public in 1992. Lin Zhiyu graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong with a major in quantitative finance, and later pursued further studies at Princeton University in the United States, earning a master’s degree in finance. Before joining the family business, he worked at several international investment banks.
In 2010, Lin Zhiyu officially joined Dali International Group, founded by his father, taking on director positions in several companies under the group, including Dali Garment Co., Ltd., Dali (China) Co., Ltd., and Dali Silk (Zhejiang) Co., Ltd. At the same time, he served as Chief Executive Officer of the Apparel Brand Center, responsible for developing new business, as well as company reform and transformation.
On May 9, 2014, Lin Zhiyu became a member of The Hong Kong Institute of Directors. On January 2, 2016, he married Luo Yingyi. Luo Yingyi is the granddaughter of Luo Dingbang, the “King of Knitwear” associated with the Hong Kong silk and apparel manufacturer Dali International Group Co., Ltd.
On August 1, 2012, Lin Zhiyu attended the flagship store opening ceremony in Guangzhou Garden Hotel for axelle de soie (a Dali International subsidiary brand), an international high-end womenswear label led by a French designer. He has since participated in numerous industry-related events, including serving as a judge at the preliminary round of the graduate fashion show hosted by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University on June 24, 2017, where he assisted students and promoted industry innovation and entrepreneurship.
On June 26, 2017, Lin Zhiyu represented Dali International Group at the 3rd China–Israel Technology Innovation & Investment Conference jointly organized by INNONATION, Infiniti Group, the Youth Development Alliance, and the Consulate General of Israel in Hong Kong and Macau. That year he also attended the 2017 500 Startups × Alibaba Entrepreneurs Fund reception and posed for a photo with Edith Yeung, partner of the 500 Startups China team.
On March 29, 2019, Lin Zhiyu was appointed a member of the Remuneration Committee of Dali International Group Co., Ltd., continuing to contribute to the group’s corporate governance and strategic development.
