Introduction
Li Shenggen was born in Shishi City, Fujian Province. He currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the Seventh Committee of the Shenzhen Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese. His family’s business, Xinyi Group, was founded in 1989 in Shenzhen by his father, Li Xianyi. After years of development, Xinyi Group has grown to become the third largest "Glass Kingdom" in the world, focusing on the production and sales of automotive glass and construction materials. The company has modern production bases in Shenzhen, Dongguan, Wuhu, Tianjin, and other locations. Its products cover over 30,000 vehicle models and are exported to more than 100 countries and regions, including North America, Europe, Africa, and Japan. In 2005, Xinyi Group successfully listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The group’s export volume accounts for 35% of China's automotive glass market, with a global repair market share exceeding 18%.
After establishing Xinyi Group in 1989, Li Xianyi rapidly expanded the company's scale over 20 years and built a strong reputation within the industry. Under this background, Li Shenggen grew up in a business environment and holds a Bachelor's degree in Business from the University of Melbourne in Australia and a Master’s degree in Applied Finance from Monash University in Australia.
In 2006, during the Guangzhou Open Tennis Tournament, Li Shenggen was introduced to Yan Zi through a friend. Initially, their relationship was not publicly known. Li Shenggen expressed interest by leaving anonymous comments on Yan Zi’s blog. Later, at the end of 2007, he revealed his identity to Yan Zi, and their relationship gradually developed. On December 23, 2009, the two held a grand wedding at Wuzhou Hotel in Shenzhen, inviting over a thousand guests. The wedding combined frugality and charity, with part of the celebration funds donated to a charitable cause.
After marriage, Li Shenggen and Yan Zi welcomed their daughter, Li Xingmeng, on January 17, 2012. His married life is known for being low-key; details about his family and business background are rarely publicly disclosed. As the heir to Xinyi Group, he plays an important role in corporate management and social affairs.
In recent years, Li Shenggen was elected Vice Chairman of the Seventh Committee of the Shenzhen Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese in August 2024. He actively participates in enterprise management, social public affairs, and philanthropy, continuously promoting the integration of corporate development with social responsibility.
