Introduction
King Jingjing Zhu Qikao, born in 1431, was the legitimate eldest son of Ming Dynasty’s King Xian Zhu Zhanqiao and the second-generation King of Jing. He inherited his title in the sixth year of the Jingtai era (1455). During his reign, he was granted by his father and held the territory of the Jing Wangfu. Zhu Qikao passed away in the fifth year of the Tianshun era (1461), receiving the posthumous name Jing. His consort was Lady Wei, with whom he fathered Zhu Jianlian and Zhu Jianpu; his wife was Lady Wang, with whom he fathered Zhu Jianxing. Three years later, Zhu Jianlian succeeded as the King of Jing.
