John Minor

John Minor was the son of Col. John Minor, who lived from 1707 to 1754, and was born in 1735 and died in 1800. His family lineage includes Mary Ann Herndon, the daughter of Col. John Minor and mother of Dabney Herndon. Dabney Herndon, born in 1783 and deceased in 1824, was the father of William Lewis Herndon, an American explorer. William Lewis Herndon was the father of Ellen Lewis Herndon Arthur, who was married to Chester A. Arthur, the President of the United States from 1881 to 1885.
