Introduction
Konoe Tsunehiro (近衛 経熙) was a Japanese court noble (kugyō) during the Edo period (1603–1868). He was born in 1761 and died in 1799. He was the son of Uchisaki, who served as a regent.
Konoe Tsunehiro did not hold the official regent positions of kampaku or sessho during his lifetime. His familial lineage includes his son, Konoe Motosaki. Additionally, Tsunehiro adopted a daughter of Satsuma Shigehide, who was the eighth head of the Satsuma Domain. The adopted daughter subsequently became a consort of Tokugawa Ienari, who was the shōgun at that time.
The references provided include a Japanese source from Nekhet, which discusses the Konoe family (also known as the Sekke, the five regent houses), but specific details about Konoe Tsunehiro's career or achievements are limited in the available information.
