Deacon Nathaniel Phelps, II

Deacon Nathaniel Phelps, II, who lived from 1653 to 1719, is an ancestor of Rutherford B. Hayes, the thirteenth President of the United States, who served from 1877 to 1881. He is the father of Timothy Phelps, born in 1697 and who died around December 3, 1788. Timothy Phelps is the father of Abigail Phelps (1731–1816), who is the mother of Drusilla Austin (1762–1813), and she in turn is the mother of Sophia Birchard, the mother of Rutherford B. Hayes.
