Nathaniel Phelps, III

Nathaniel Phelps, III is a descendant of Deacon Nathaniel Phelps, II, through his son Timothy Phelps, and subsequently through Timothy's daughter Abigail Phelps. Abigail Phelps, who lived from 1731 to 1816, was the mother of Drusilla Austin, who lived from 1762 to 1813. Drusilla Austin was the mother of Sophia Birchard, the mother of Rutherford B. Hayes, who served as the President of the United States from 1877 to 1881.
