Valerie Irene Josephine Margaret de Thomka de Thomkahaza, who died in 1968, was the wife of Roundell Palmer, 3rd Earl of Selborne. Roundell Palmer was the son of Maud Palmer, Countess of Selborne, and was a British politician who lived from 1887 to 1971. Maud Palmer, Countess of Selborne, was a British political and women's rights activist and the daughter of Robert Gascoyne-Cecil, 3rd Marquess of Salisbury, who served as a British politician and prime minister from 1830 to 1903.
