Gu Yuezhen

Gu Yuezhen is the mother of Chinese musician Wang Feng. In her early years, she served as a cultural soldier in the military and later transferred to work at a cultural organization in Beijing. She spent many years engaged in artistic and cultural work, developing a deep appreciation for music and the performing arts.

Gu Yuezhen and her husband, Wang Jijun, have two children: a daughter, Wang Qing, who works in stage design, and a son, Wang Feng, who became a well-known musician. The family environment was rich in artistic influence, which had a lasting impact on both children.

When Wang Feng was born in 1971, Gu Yuezhen was already working in the cultural sector. She hoped her son would receive a strong musical education from an early age, encouraging him to learn the violin and imagining that he might one day become a musician.

In her personal life, Gu Yuezhen is known to be gentle and family-oriented. During Wang Feng’s relationship with actress Zhang Ziyi, she met and approved of Zhang, expressing warmth and support. In later years, she has led a peaceful life, maintaining close ties with her family
