Introduction
Wu Zun, whose original name is Wu Zun, is an actor and singer born in Brunei. His ancestral origins are from Anhui, China, and his grandfather immigrated from Kinmen, Fujian Province, China, to Brunei. Wu Zun is the third child in his family, with one older brother and one older sister. His father, Wu Jing-tian, was a basketball player in Brunei before transitioning to a career in real estate. Wu Zun's mother passed away in 2002 due to pancreatic cancer.
In his early years, Wu Zun studied basketball from a young age and once served as a member of the Brunei national team. He had competitive encounters with the Chinese youth team and even sparred with Yao Ming. At age 16, he went to Australia for further studies and earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from RMIT University in Melbourne. After completing his studies, Wu Zun opened a fitness gym in Brunei. Later, through connections, he moved to Taiwan to develop his career as a model.
Wu Zun entered the entertainment industry in 2005. He starred in the youth romance idol drama "It Started with a Kiss," playing the umbrella holder. In the same year, he also appeared in the magical campus idol drama "The *Legend of the Condor Heroes," portraying Tian Hongguang, the son of a former martial arts alliance leader with a formidable fighting strength. In December 2005, he formed the male idol group "Fahrenheit" with Aaron Yan, Jiro Wang, and Calvin Chen, officially debuting as a group. That year, he also starred in the youth inspirational idol dramas "Julia" and "Salesgirl."
In 2006, Wu Zun delivered impressive performances in several dramas including "Princess Little Sister" and "The Legend of the Condor Heroes," and released the group's first music album, "Fahrenheit." By 2007, he reprised roles in the follow-up seasons of "Princess Little Sister" and "The Legend of the Condor Heroes," and starred in the magical campus idol drama "My Lucky Star." That year, he was awarded the "Top Ten Chinese Gold Songs Award" for Most Promising Newcomer.
In 2008, Fahrenheit released their second album, "Fahrenheit: The 3rd Season," and Wu Zun expanded into film, starring in movies such as "Sword Butterfly." He continued to appear in various genres of TV dramas and films, including "Jinyi Wei," "Sunshine Angel," "The Big Warrior," and "Yang Family's Loyalty."
From 2010 onwards, Wu Zun gradually diversified his career, participating in variety shows, starring in films and TV dramas, and actively engaging in charitable work. He has received numerous accolades, including the Asian Star Award and the Most Stylish New Actor Award. In 2022, he announced that his entire family moved to China and has since participated in various variety and charity events.
Regarding his personal life, Wu Zun married Lin Liying in 2004. They have a daughter, NeiNei, and a son, Captain Max. He is committed to philanthropy, supporting numerous charitable causes, and has received various social honors.
