Introduction
Liu Yanling was born in the People's Republic of China into a prominent family. Her father was Liu Bocheng, one of the ten supreme marshals of the People's Republic of China. Liu Bocheng had six children in total, with Liu Yanling being the third daughter (some sources list her as the fourth daughter). Her siblings include Liu Taihang, Liu Meng, Liu Taichi, Liu Miqun, and Liu Jiexian, among whom Liu Miqun, Liu Taihang, Liu Meng, and Liu Taichi all served as major generals in the People's Liberation Army.
In her professional career, Liu Yanling mainly worked in the Department of Nuclear Medicine at the PLA General Hospital. As of May 2018, she held the position of doctor in that department and was a member of the Nuclear Medicine Professional Committee of the Beijing Medical Association.
