Li Tong, female, born in November 1970. She holds multiple graduate degrees, including a master's degree in Industrial Economics from the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and an Executive MBA (EMBA) from the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM) at the University of Sydney and the University of New South Wales. She graduated with a bachelor's degree from the Department of Foreign Economics at Northeast University of Finance and Economics.

Her professional career began in 1993 when she joined the Bank of China. She has served in positions such as credit client manager, deputy section chief, section chief, deputy director, department supervisor, and director at the Henan Provincial Branch, Shenzhen Branch, and Sydney Branch. Subsequently, she served as Assistant to the President of BOC International Holdings Limited, gradually rising to the roles of Chief Executive Officer and Executive President. Currently, she is an Executive Director of BOC International Holdings Limited. Additionally, she is an independent director of GuoDa Yongming Asset Management Co., Ltd.

With 25 years of experience in the financial industry, Li Tong previously worked as a business manager at Shenzhen Datong Industrial Investment Co., Ltd. During her leadership at BOC International, she led the company to become the most diversified, most comprehensive in business scope, and most experienced in capital operations among Chinese overseas investment banks. She served as an independent director at Sichuan Changhong Electric Co., Ltd. from January 2005 to June 2011 and amassed extensive professional experience at the Henan Provincial Branch, Shenzhen Branch, and Sydney Branch of the Bank of China.

Li Tong has received numerous honors, including being named one of the “25 Most Influential Women in Asia-Pacific Finance” in 2015 and winning the “Influential Woman Award” at the Caixin Women Leaders Forum in 2017. Under her leadership, her company received awards such as “Best International Investment Bank in Hong Kong” from Asia Money and the “Special Contribution Award for Capital Markets on the 20th Anniversary of Hong Kong’s Handover.” She has also served as Chair of the Credit Professional Committee of the Shenzhen City Domestic Banking Association.

On April 16, 2012, Li Tong participated in the pre-IPO strategic investor introduction for a state-owned enterprise in Tangshan, Hebei—“Lanhai Caofeidian” in Hong Kong. In 2024, she joined Bank of China Hong Kong (Holdings) Limited as Vice President.

In her family background, she has been reported to be the daughter of Li Changchun, a Standing Committee Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
