Feng Jieni was the wife of Dr. Huo Yingtong and was his business partner during the Korean War. In 1977, upon the death of Huo Yingtong's mother, her identity and that of her son were officially acknowledged in the obituary. Feng Jieni was actively involved in social activities; she served as a director of the Guangzhou Overseas Exchange Association and was awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of Guangzhou. She had a deep affection for Panyu and, since the 1980s, accompanied Huo Yingtong in returning to Panyu to support local development. She made significant contributions to education, funding the construction of Dongcheng Kindergarten in 1990, and cared about kindergarten students during the "June 1" Children's Day every year. In 2000 and 2001, she donated to Pioneer Primary School and Guangdong Girls' Middle School, respectively, earning praise from teachers and students. Additionally, she actively participated in respect-for-elders activities during the Mid-Autumn Festival, winning respect and admiration from the people of Panyu. In 2000, Feng Jieni received the titles of Honorary Citizen of Panyu and Guangzhou.
