Introduction
Shen Yi Wang Zhu Youkai (February 3, 1487 – August 20, 1503), the fourteenth son of Emperor Xianzong of Ming, his mother was Consort Yang. In the fourth year of Hongzhi (1491), he was titled Prince of Shen, with a fief in Xuzhou, but he never took up his post. In the same year, he married Lady Xiang, daughter of the Commander of the Eastern City Army, as his consort. In the sixteenth year of Hongzhi (1503), Zhu Youkai passed away and was posthumously titled Prince of Shen Yi. He left no heirs, and his temple title was abolished. According to Ming Dynasty customs, he was buried in Jinshan.
